Victorian house retrofit in York

Refurbishment and retrofit project
Start date: January/February 2017 (4-5 month project)

The clients contacted Retrofit projects in Jan 2017 to discuss renovating an older property that had been left empty for a number of year.

Following a thorough inspection of the building it was clear that the property was suffering from severe dampness and condensation.

Black mould was also covering some external walls and there were significant structural issues and defects leading to various leaks and internal damage.

The property needed significant up-grading and modernisation to make it warmer and more comfortable for the future.

Ground floors removed and replaced with new joists, floor boards and modern insulation
New PVCu replacement A-rated windows
Specialist re-plastering and full damp proofing of all internal walls
